Morning Wood Kitchen began in March 2025 to overcome a dilemma: there's always an Afters, but where is the Befores?
There were always afters; now there's befores.
// The story
Inspired by the resurrection of house parties in 2020, co-founders Chaz Mattison and Mark Eteson, along with a collective of friends and artists, pieced together perhaps the best ingredients since Gordon Ramsay's chicken and chorizo Paella. What if we can recreate the energy of a house party, with the jeopardy of a live broadcast, in an environment which feels so comfortable it gives the artist the freedom to express themselves creatively with zero boundaries… There was no better place to do this than in a kitchen.
The vision was simple, but not easy to execute. In a city like Las Vegas, where everything is driven by grandiosity and commerce, the odds are always in the house's favor, not necessarily the kitchen's. The feeling of what brings together an amazing meal is beyond the ingredients, or even the Chef. It's in the company sharing the table. MWK set out to bring a fresh take on events and experiences in the city, with a common goal — dancing.

MWK is an IRL and URL event, hosting in bespoke and unusual venues you least expect to find a pop-up brunch party, as well as broadcasting online through our streaming partners. In the spirit of alternative partying, the emphasis is on experience. You are more likely to find a banana cold brew latte than a vodka soda. This is the party for the health-conscious, the open-minded, the free-spirited music lovers, and the early risers who like to take hold of the day.
The vision is to bring the kitchen to a global stage, streaming live from the most insane kitchens on the planet, partnering with the greatest culinary talent and delivering Michelin-starred party experiences for everyone involved.
